Hearts For All Occasions
Since tomorrow is Valentine’s Day, I want to show you a few pictures of things that our jewelry guy, Steve, found for me. Thanks Steve!
The first thing most people think of for Valentine’s Day is hearts. Me, the only time I think about hearts is when they are filled with chocolate. There is no shortage of hearts when it comes to jewelry. In the years I have worked for Pawn America, I have seen hundreds, maybe even thousands of hearts. Diamonds, pendants, earrings, nose-rings, rings of all kinds, shapes and sizes. They make great gifts this time of year, but they don’t just have to be for Valentine’s Day.
Take this one for example:
This one, I think, is special. If you can make it out in the picture, there is a silhouette of a mother holding a child inside the heart. This could be given to celebrate the birth of a child, but would probably not be a good one to get for your new girlfriend. (It might send the wrong signals.)
Now this necklace is something I have never seen before.
The chains are covered in diamonds and at the end of each “arm” is a heart-shaped blue topaz. Now if that doesn’t say, “Happy Valentine’s Day,” I don’t know what does.
Finally, I have this ring:
It may look like your average ring, but here is the special part:
This is a diagram of the facet structure of the diamond in this ring. Facets are the small flat cuts made into a diamond. They form little hearts and arrows. How cool is that?! It’s so sweet I think it gave me a cavity. Well, that’s about it for today. Thanks for stopping by to have a look. Remember Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and you don’t want to be stuck with just chocolates. So, get that someone special something special. Cheers.
